Sasha Braginsky was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he spent the earliest part of his childhood.
When he was 6 years old his family decided to leave Russia and emigrate to the West.
After spending some time suspended in limbo somewhere in Italy, they ended up in Dallas,
Texas (about as far West as it gets)! Since a very early age Sasha's parents were always dragging him to
art museums and surprisingly he seemed to enjoy it as much as they did.
By age 10 he knew that he wanted to be an artist. At this time Sasha enrolled in classes at Sofia
Art Academy where he learned the foundations of classical art technique and met the beautiful girl
who would later become his wife as well as subject of his art.
He subsequently went on to receive a BFA from Parsons School of Design.
Currently Sasha lives and works in New York City.
